Premier League's Best Manager, José Mourinho, Sacked
Premier League's Greatest Coach José Mourinho Sacked.
José Mourinho, one of the finest managers of Premier League has just lost his job. He was sacked today by Chelsea, ahead of their relegation battle against Sunderland on Saturday.
Chelseastatement said: "Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by mutual consent"
He was the King of a team whose players were termed as the 11 Kings, by Chelsea's legend Didier Drogba. For Roman Abramovich, it was perhaps easy to dethrone one king than wrestle with 11 kings. You cannot blame any of Chelsea's king for their dismal performance this season. But you can certainly blame a monarchic behavior in sports.
"His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways. " a Chelsea statement said.
Despite Chelsea winning Premier League last season, it is just 4-9-3 in the this year, fighting just to avoid their relegation. Mourihno was clearly upset with his team performance.
After losing 2-1 away at Leicester, he expressed that he felt 'betrayed'.
'Sometimes I find myself thinking last season I did an amazing job, brought players to a level not their level. If this is true I brought to such a level they couldn't keep for more than super-motivation to be leading. That is one possibility.'
The club has no comment on who will they appoint next as Chelsea new manager.
