YSDO Chitral is proud of Junaid Khan's Selection in Pakistan's World Cup
CHITRAL (DROSH): Young Star Development Organization (YSDO) has taken pride in nurturing cricketer Junaid Khan who recently has been declared part of the Pakistan Cricket team in the coming ICC World Cup.
Chairman Young Star development organization (YSDO) Asfandiar Khan, supervisor Subadar (R) Saeedullah and Manager Blood donation committee, Mahboob Ahmad thanked chairman Pakistan Cricket Board and its selection Committee and Shahid Khan Afridi for reposing confidence in Mr. Khan.
Junaid was member of Young Star sports and Welfare Society Drosh and render his services for the organization.
Junaid was picked in place of bowling all-rounder Sohail Tanvir after the later was declared unfit by Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) medical team. Junaid has been selected based on his outstanding performance in the domestic cricket.
In 35 first-class games, he has picked up 167 wickets at an average of just above 21 Junaid played two unofficial Tests and three List A (ODI) matches during Pakistan A’s tour of Sri Lanka, taking 15 wickets.
Junaid told media on Thursday. “I’ve represented my country at junior levels and Pakistan A, so I know what the responsibility of playing for your country is like. I don’t think I’ll have any nerves and I am confident I can handle the situation and I would not disappoint if get a chance to play.”
The YSDO staff are happy that they were able to produce a young talented cricketer in a short span of time.
